she is 4 now. she feels it, too. today she let me put cream on her kitten-scratched face without wailing and scrubbing it raw. because she is 4 now. she has a new weapon with which she can tackle her large, sometimes scary world: she is 4 now.

oh my.
So big. So fast. She’s lovely. (it makes me sad though, how fast 4 comes)
Oh that yummy yummy light and that yummy yummy girl. 4 has such a different perspective for me now. We miss you guys already.
oh precious little elf!! and glorious light!
These pictures make me want to scoop her up and hug her (if she’d let me-lol). Could you please come over. It has been days since I have seen you all.
She is so precious and I am glad she looks so much like her mommy.
These feel so magical!
It’s been a year. Miss all ^ this… Love you.

as a baby, he was curious, quiet, content, and wary of people and new things. he is still that exact same person. maybe we wish he were a little more energetic at times, or a little less curious at times, but not really. my boy is a teenager now, the time I dreaded most. not...

That boy, my goodness. He is such a sweet soul. We love him to pieces. That last photo really makes him look like a teen to me. My auntie heart is breaking.
And I love the sun saturated photo.
oh my, what a heart-breaker!
To many others, the last photo could be solemn, thoughtful, endearing. When I look at it I hear “Alright, Mom, get the camera outta my nose, for Pete’s sake!” Love him to pieces!!!
he is so darn beautiful (inside and out). he reminds me of Rick in so many ways. I love him so much
oh, sweet boy, savor the countdown to change.
I love, love that last picture.
That last picture just kills me. Those EYES! I’m not loving the whole teenager thing either, but it is pretty amazing watching them figure out who they are, isn’t it?

i did my girl’s 11th birthday shoot at the wildlife sanctuary up the road. she surprised me with her eleven-ness. was i like that? so sure, so poised? i think not. i can see the young lady she will be, and i like her very, very much. my love for this girl is boundless.

Boundless is the perfect word. That first black and white one is a favorite of mine. Her hair, how she’s wearing her hoody, the flowers, all perfect Brenna. And the last one with those long legs and hip all out, she looks so grown up. Tell her to stop and to go be friends with elven year old me.
She gets more beautiful every day. That first shot is a favorite of mine as well. I have the most beautiful grandchildren in the world. Brenna could be modeling with her natural beauty.
Lovely. I want her hair. Love what you are doing on this site.
That shot of her hair is just spectacular.
Love those clouds behind her in the the photos in the field! So cool!
