apple orchard

over the july 4th holiday i did a quick shoot of my niece and her lovely parents.

we went to an apple orchard nearby, where i had the farm dogs set on me for crossing the canal.

they didn’t catch me.

the light was a little harsh, as it was too early when we left,

but we were getting some flack for leaving the picnic before fireworks,

and we didn’t want to be away too long.

after we got back to the celebration, the light gave us a few beautiful minutes,

where in that arid, brushy field across the street

the baby turned into a delicious glowing peach.

seas of grass

i did a photo shoot for a dear friend of her two boys last night.

the location i found is so unbelievably pretty; i’ll probably go back soon for a shoot of my own chickens.

i did get my youngest playing in the last few minutes of the light.

more from the jinkyart workshop

this little baby had a bubble bath out in the garden.

as i did for the first practice shoot, i went in from the side, away from some of the fray.

i don’t like fray.

she was not a crazy smiley baby, so i tried to keep it non-crazy and a little serene,

which is funny since she had 13 cameras in her face.

still she remained ever a lady, serenely bathing in the garden,

until her mama took her out.

keegan

i shot this fun family three years ago,

and i get to do it again in a few months.

this time, keegan has a new baby brother.

we started at their home, walked to the park,

then back home again for snuggles

with mom and dad and

beloved “pink doggie”.

i had a great time traipsing around and

playing with them.
